As part of a pilot project funded by the Cologne International Forum, Javier Revilla Diez and Simon Becker analyze the socio-economic integration of migrants and refugees from Myanmar in Thailand. Our project focuses on the livelihoods of people who fled to Mae Sot after the military coup in Myanmar. We examine the various challenges they face. In addition, we are analyzing the qualifications and skills of the displaced to determine how they can meet the (future) needs of the Thai labor market and how they can potentially contribute to the Thai economy.
