Ms. Sina Bierkamp receives the Hans Hartwig Ruthenberg Graduate Award for for outstanding master theses.
Her thesis entitled "Assessing the role of natural resource extraction and its determinants for rural households in Southeast Asia" was written as part of the TVSEP long-term research project. Her results make an important contribution to finding out which strategies poor households in Southeast Asia can use to secure their income and thus their food without overexploiting natural resources.
